RECORDS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Our history

In 2002 I managed to import my first Azawakh from Switzerland, from one of the most prestigious breeding farms existing at the time: the beautiful Patifah kel Dahoussahaq, from which six puppies were born. Two of them, Amirasis and AshakiAenbel, have dominated dog shows throughout their careers, collecting 14 Championships in different European countries.
In the meantime, I imported another beautiful female from the same farm: Shani Kel Dahoussahaq, always masterfully presented by Mia Ejerstad, destined to become a myth in the world of greyhounds. In 2006 she won the Cajelli Trophy, an annual award that crowns a dog among all the breeds exhibited during the year in Italy.
Later on Shani was invited to represent Italy in Long Beach at the world-famous Eukanuba World Winner event. She was the first Azawakh and still is the only one invited to this event. From that moment Americans began to have a great interest in this rare and unknown breed.
During the Cajelli Trophy I met Patrizio Palliani who was also in love with the Azawakhs. Since then, he became my closest collaborator and the exclusive handler of my greyhounds. With him Amirasis had a third place at the Cajelli and later Azamour Ayman a second place.
In just a few years the Azawakh Azamour, born and raised in Cerbara, have collected titles all over Europe.
They have always achieved the absolute best among their breed at world championships for years and consecutively, obtaining the title with great honor. There are a total of 15 different specimens in 14 years of breeding that can boast the title of beauty world champion.
Our beloved AmirAsis is the stallion in the breed that has reproduced the largest number of world champions among direct sons and grandsons. Indeed in the last 12 years all the Azawakh winners of best of breed at world championships have been either children or grandchildren of our prince Amir.
At the same time we also won many European Championship titles. Every year, in Donaueschingen, Germany, the most famous and largest gathering of all greyhound breeds is held. Year after year my Azawakhs always distinguished themselves as the best specimen of the breed. They have beaten the nearly two thousand participants for four years, winning Best in Show and Super Best in Show, (the best specimen of all breeds). Among my kennel’s records, the first Azawakh to have won Crufts, the oldest and most prestigious dog show in the world, with the multi-titled Azamour Khemosabi.
In 2020 Azawakhs were allowed to participate in dog shows in the USA for the first time. Our American champion Azamour Anbar was the first Azawakh to win Westminster, the most important American show held in New York. In the same year she was also number 1 for the breed in America.
The first Azawakh Chinese and Korean champion Azamour Marvan was also born here. In Russia Azamour Khemosabi was the first Azawakh to win the Best in Show in Eurasia, the most important exhibition in the whole East with about eight thousand participants.
With all the titles he has collected, Azamour Wahid has become the most titled Azawakh of the breed in Scandinavia. Without listing all the names, with very few litters many of them distinguished themselves for their beauty in so many different countries.
