AZAWAKH
the Prince of the Desert
Mali, dunes in the desert, a magnificent creature stands tall in all the elegance and perfection of his forms and then launches like a cheetah in a race that competes with the wind ...
A wild, primitive greyhound, who stands out at sunset like a millenary sphinx. It’s the Azawakh, the Prince of the desert, the greyhound, beloved, faithful and precious companion of the Tuareg in the maximum splendor of their civilization. Never sold, jealously selected and guarded, rarely donated as a sign of great esteem and respect.
Even today, in his deeply intense gaze, in his detached and fascinating attitude, in his access with regally indifferent elegance one can recognize his wild majesty that dates back to thousands of years ago. It is difficult to put into words the emotion one feels in front of an Azawakh, an emotion so intense and so difficult to forget.
The very essence of the greyhound, an unflaunted elegance, a vision that is once again testimony to the immense and extraordinary beauty of creation.
Patrizio and I select with genuine passion; we could say that ours is not just an amateur breeding, but ethical in the sense of staying as close as possible to the original type, respecting and loving its magical mystery and its fascinating ancestrality.

“He dreams in an Italian villa
with hunting in African land ...
he is the wild child of the wind,
he is the aristocratic form of the dog,
he is simply Aeolus’ chosen one ...
He is the spirit of the sands.
It all comes down to one word: Azawakh. "
